Ben Sollee – “Embrace”

Posted on 10 March 2011 by James Gentry

Ben Sollee will release his new album entitled Inclusions on May 10th, 2011. The album contains 11 original songs from the classically trained pop cellist and explores contemporary folk music in an urbanized world.

Inclusions builds a foundation of sound that ties Sollee’s mutt-like influences into a contemporary pedigree.  Duane Lundy, the engineer and mixing artist behind Sollee’s 2007 debut Learning to Bend, produces the album.

For those of you heading to Austin next week, Ben will be performing with his band at the following official SXSW shows:

Thurs. March 17th – 5:10PM – GSD&M Presents at Stubbs (801 Red River)

Fri. March 18th – 1AM – Utne Reader & Thirty Tigers Present at St David’s Historic Sanctuary (301 E 8th St)

Ben Sollee’s tour will kick-off on May 4th in his hometown of Lexington, KY.
